Starburst News

We welcome SPRING – warmer days, outside playtime, Easter celebrations, and hatching our annual brood of chicks.

And, as we say hello to Spring, we also say goodbye to a dear friend, colleague, and pillar of the Starburst Program, Mrs. Nan Millen.

Nan was a teacher assistant at Starburst for the last ten years up to the last week before she went home to be with the Lord. Her warm demeanor and steadfast determination serve as examples to each of us in our own lives. It was my honor and joy to work with Nan. I will miss laughing with her – and if you’ve ever worked with a bunch of preschoolers you know there are many opportunities for silliness and fun.

And, I will miss sharing with her. She had a big heart and was always ready to give of herself when someone else had a need.

Her faith was strong and deliberate and her love for God and children was immeasurable.

We thank God for Mrs. Millen. Larene
