An Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Update

At the printing of this newsletter the total number of shoeboxes collected at our church are as follows:

UCW Board of Benevolence = 55 boxes
UCW congregation = 50 boxes
Starburst Preschool = 18 boxes
Community = 368 boxes
For a total of 491 boxes.

The boxes will be taken to City Church in Batavia where they will be loaded on to a very large truck and delivered to the processing center in North Carolina, then on to very deserving little hands.

Many thanks to all who gave boxes, to the Starburst staff and students for packing the van and to the Board of Benevolence for challenging all of us to “serve God’s people with love.”

A Very Merry Christmas from Starburst!

We are eagerly anticipating the Christmas season as we make our plans to go caroling at the Cloisters and Wal-Mart on Dec. 13th.

Our Preschool Christmas Program begins at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 20th. You are all invited to come and hear 41 sweet little voices sing to Jesus. What a very special time for children as they experience the joy of receiving gifts and the satisfaction of giving them as they make their very special parent gifts.

It will be a very busy 3 weeks before Christmas! The staff and the students of Starburst wish everyone “Merry Christmas”.
